Too Faced - Born This Way Foundation - 'Snow' | Review

For around 3 years now, I've always used MAC's Studio Fix Fluid but recently started to notice a faint yellow line on my neck. I don't know if I'm getting paler? (Is that a thing? Can that happen?!) So I decided it was time to break away from my beloved Studio Fix Fluid and try something else! I was going to order Kat Von D's Lock It Tattoo foundation now that us Brits can finally enjoy her make up now that Debenhams stock it in the UK, hallelujah! BUT, my shade, 'Light 44' was out of stock.
I have tried the Lock It foundation before. It was one of many make up purchases I made in Sephora when I went on my honeymoon back in 2013, but I had a slight tan then so of course, got a shade that matched me on the honeymoon. Then when arriving back in England, I obviously couldn't use it again when my tan faded and my complexion resembled that of Casper the ghost. Brilliant! A rookie mistake, so I sold it on Depop. Anywaaaaay, if you're super pale like myself, you'll know how hard it is to find the perfect foundation suitable for your skin tone and also how much of a hole it leaves in your purse because all the 'lower end' drugstore make up never has anything remotely close to suit your skin therefore, having to purchase a higher end, more expensive foundation looking at the £25 and above price tag. God only knows where drugstore brands get their 'Porcelain' shade name from. The wotsit factory? Because there's nothing 'Porcelain' about having an orange line on your neck!
So yeah, I wanted to try a new foundation and searched the internet and YouTube for recommendations where I discovered that Too Faced recently released 6 new shades to their Born This Way Foundation family, 2 of these shades being suitable for all you pale princesses out there; 'Snow' and 'Pearl'. I searched for reviews on these on YouTube and 'Pearl' definitely looked like it had too much of a yellow undertone for my skin so I ordered 'Snow'.
Here are my thoughts...

The first thing that made me fall in love with this foundation is the fact it has a pump!! The one thing I hated about MAC's Studio Fix Fluid is that you had to buy a pump seperately, like REALLY?! WHY?! It was so hard to get the last remaining bit of product from the bottom, constantly banging it, so annoying! So yeah, definitely loving the fact that Born This Way comes with a pump.

Second of all, it's consistency is very much like Studio Fix - another win! It's very lightweight so doesn't feel thick or too cakey on the skin.
Born This Way is a medium to full coverage which really does leave your skin looking flawless and 'Snow' is definitely the right match for me. I couldn't be happier with this foundation. Thank you for this amazing product Too Faced!
I would definitely recommend trying this foundation out, they are sure to have the right shade for you!

  1. I'm fairly pale, but I'm lucky to still be dark enough that I'm usually the lightest shade in drugstore foundation haha We don't get Too Faced where I live, which I'm really sad about because all the reviews I see are so good! This really sounds like a good buy, and it has such stunning packaging!
